Commitment
FliKidz Arts Academy is committed to serving every young person and family in Flint, including people with disabilities. This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Measures in place
- A skip link that moves keyboard users straight to the main content.
- Visible focus outlines on every link, button, and form field.
- Labels on all form fields, with status messages announced to screen readers.
- Descriptive alternative text on photography.
- Logical heading structure with a single main heading per page.
- Colour and text contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds.
- Automatic slideshows that can be paused and controlled by keyboard.
- Reduced-motion support for visitors who prefer less animation.
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and screen magnification.
Programs and facilities
Reasonable accommodations are available for program participation, including support for mobility, sensory, learning, and communication needs. Families are encouraged to share what a young person needs during enrollment so staff can prepare in advance.
Reporting a barrier
Anyone who encounters a barrier on this website or in a program is invited to report it to info@flikidzartsacademy.com or (810) 336-9474. Reports receive a response, and issues are corrected as quickly as possible. Including the page address and a short description of the problem helps most.
